Concerts feature a 40-piece wind ensemble with two community choruses—Staten Island’s Voices of Experience and Brooklyn’s Dyker Singers. Program highlights include a choral medley from “The Wizard of Oz,” and the world premiere of “American March,” by Dr. Howard Fox. Conductor is Dr. Raymond Wheeler, music department chair, Stuyvesant High School.

Staten Island Philharmonic begins its 2015-2016 10th anniversary celebration on Sunday, August 30, 2 pm, at the Noble Maritime Collection in Snug Harbor, with a repeat of our very first concert from August, 2005. Jose Alejandro Guzman conducts the Mozart Serenade No. 10 in B-Flat Major, “Gran Partita,” and the Dvorak Serenade, Op. 44, in D minor.
